About Us

Enjoining what is right, from Kumasi to the world

The Al Amru Bil Ma'ruf Foundation for Education and Development was established to serve the Qur'an and the community — one student, one family, one neighbourhood at a time.

Our Name

What "Al Amru Bil Ma'ruf" means

The name is drawn from the noble Qur'anic principle of al-amr bi al-ma'ruf — "enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong." It is the foundation's daily mission: to call to goodness through the Book of Allah, sincere teaching and service to the community.

وَلْتَكُن مِّنكُمْ أُمَّةٌ يَدْعُونَ إِلَى الْخَيْرِ وَيَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ ۚ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ "And let there be from you a nation inviting to [all that is] good, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong. And those will be the successful." — Qur'an 3:104

Our Mission

To guide students in memorizing, living and spreading the Qur'an — and to support education and development that uplifts families and communities in faith and knowledge.

Our Vision

A community where the Qur'an is memorized in the heart, lived in daily life, and spread from one generation to the next — beginning in Kumasi and reaching beyond.

Our Values

Faith — everything begins with sincerity to Allah. Knowledge — learning as a lifelong act of worship. Dedication — perseverance through years of memorization. Community — celebrating every achievement together.
